C85 Shabby Rose Collection
Shabby Rose Card – by Jeanine de Bruyn
Requirements – 1 sheet of Fresh
Vintage C85 005
White cardstock
Turquoise
cardstock
Lace, small rose,
flat back pearls, gauze
1 small doiley
Directions – from the Fresh Vintage
paper cut a piece measuring 13.5x9.5cm.
From your white cardstock cut a piece
measuring 21 x 15cm. Fold it in half so it will now be 10.5 x 15cm to form the
base of your card. Chalk the edges of both of the pieces you just cut. Cut
another piece from the Fresh Vintage paper measuring 13.5x2cm and scallop one
of the edges.
Glue the 13.5 x 9.5cm Fresh Vintage
piece to the card, leaving an even border.
Add a piece of lace to the centre of
the card and then glue your 13.5x2cm scalloped piece to centre of the lace.
Glue your small doiley to the middle of your card.
Make a lollipop flower from the
remaining Fresh Vintage paper and the turquoise cardstock, I made mine by
tracing different size circles then cutting them out, cutting a slit in each
circle and then glue them together to give each circle a slight cone shape.
Glue your circles on top of each other starting with the largest circle and
working your way to the smallest one. I added pieces of gauze between each
layer to give it that shabby look. Add a small rose to the centre of the
flower. Make some leaves from the remaining paper and glue them to your flower.
I went over my flower with a little bit of white paint.
Glue the lollipop flower to the
centre of the doiley.
To complete your card add some flat
back pearls to the leaves of the flower and to the edges of the scalloped
piece.
Happy crafting everyone!
